It is very exciting that the town hall of Casares is innovative in its goal to make Casares even more attractive for both visitors and its citizens. The latest step in that direction is to build a zipline in the village. The project has already started and is planned to be ready and in operation in june!
With a length of 300 meters the Casares zip line will join the El Chaparral panoramic walk in Puerto de la Cruz with the “Las Peñuelas” area, at the end of Calle Molinos . The implementation of this installation will involve the construction of two platforms, of exit and arrival and the installation of 3 steel cables, two for the zip line and a third one that will carry the beacons that increase its visibility to avoid bird accidents.
The company building it is well experienced as they already made the famous Ziplines in Toledo, Comares and the longest in Spain; running between Extremadura and Portugal.

The program is complemented with interpretive routes through streets and alleys of Casares, cheese making workshop, presentation of books related to the gastronomy, theatrical staging, representation of Fandango Casareño, musical animation and dance.

The mayor has also announced a competition of alleys and facades decorated with pots and plants that is celebrated this weekend, and gives the opportunity to get to know the beauty of the streets and corners of the historical center of Casares.
Exciting news! We have decided to promote the equestrian property separately from the hotel project. This will be a very attractive opportunity with 15 hectares of land with permission and all prepared to build a equestrian center and residence. Tomorrow friday 12 august the Verbena festival is celebrated on Casares Costa. At 20.00 the handcraft market opens on the Casares beach “playa Ancho” and a brass band is playing. There will be handcraft market as well as food and drink stalls. From 22.00 the “velada” commences and the beach is lit up by torches.
On Saturday the beach “Playa Ancha” is turned into a Water Park
On Saturday there will be a water festival from 4 pm in Playa Ancha. A complete water park with slides, water slides, children’s castle, inflatable pool with roteballs and rollers, and foam gun.
A number of attractions for people of all ages will be offered free of charge.
Throughout the day there will be handcraft market, and at night the “velada” continues on the beach with lit torches along the beach.
Friday will be visited by the orchestra La Cala and Saturday Duo Heartbeats.
